CHIP (point) construction
CHIP temperature sensors XI-TOPE600 also known as winding stator temperature sensor, is installed in winding slots for temperature measurement and for protection from insulation damage in case of overheating. It is recommended for engine to use six temperature sensors, two for each phase. Temperature sensors should be installed in the hottest spot of winding for the best efficiency results.
Sensing element of CHIP RTD is installed inside laminated epoxy sheet. Cable is connected to the sensor and sealed by epoxy resin. These Stator RTDs are cheaper solution in compare to bifilar construction.
Due to very good dielectrical parameters of HGW and special composition of epoxy resin, these sensors have a high mechanical stability and high voltage resist of 2.5 kV - 5.0 kV as an option.
